Our advocacy efforts are broad and multifaceted.

They arise from the specific, self-identified needs of the communities we serve among; matched by the particular giftings of our many-member body.

Because of this, our efforts for justice and peace are dynamic – not static.  We aim to stay current, addressing needs as they arise.  Yet, we also strive to anticipate conflict and and empower people to address community needs before they get to the point of desperation.

Our current advocacy include:

- Abolition of the death penalty and death penalty reform measures

- Comprehensive and humane immigration reform

- Access to healthcare for the most needy in our community

- Proper stewardship of creation

These issues are are listed along the left hand side of this page.  By clicking on an issue, you can find more information about why we engage in that particular issue, some background information to help you be better informed about what is at stake, and the churches teaching on the issue.
