This event - featuring Fr. Jacek Orzechowski, OFM and Sue Concannon, DVM - explored how the bible and traditional church teachings call us to care for the environment. As people of faith grapple with the environmental crisis our world faces, this enlightening lecture drew on the resources of scripture and tradition for fresh insight and impetus to change. The event was hosted by "EarthCare" (our environmental advocacy team) on Oct. 3, 2007.

"Faith and Politics... In the Public Office" - The Faith & Politics Series
This event, the second part in the "Faith and Politics" series, featured Rev. Clete Kiley of the Faith and Politics Institute in Washington D.C. The discussion, entitled "Faith and Politics... In Public Office," focused on whether and to what extent faith should inform the work of our elected officials. Grounded in everyday work with representatives in Washington D.C., Rev. Kiley offers sensible and straightforward thoughts on this convoluted and contentious issue.
