"Peace and all good"...  This is the characteristic welcome, salutation, and benediction of Franciscans.  St. Francis himself was disposed to using the phrase and it remains a commonly used idiom to this day.  The greeting contains the essence of our mission in the Franciscan Coalition: to seek peace and all good things among the children of God.

The Franciscan Coalition for Justice and Peace is a ministry of the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi (Raleigh, NC) that works to build communities of reflection and action capable of faithful witness to the "good news" of the "kingdom come."

Our efforts are aimed at helping to build sustainable communities at home and abroad based on respect for nature, diversity, human rights, social justice, and a culture of life and peace.  We endeavor to do so via the two-fold approach of advocacy and service.  We are also committed to providing active leadership and education for change.
